5. On Board the Golden Eagle

"Mad wookiEE? Hardly. I wanted to discuss a peace offering with Duvnar. Your welcome to check me for weapons, I have none. And this offering could make you wealthy people."
Nate said with a smirk.

Zane examined the wookie and saw nothing and said "Give me your bags so I can search them".

Nate handed Zane the bag which contained three things. All of them datacards.

Zane handed the bags back after searching them and said "Follow me, but keep your claws away". He then led him to Duvnar who was quick to pull out his sword and say "So the Mad wookie boards are ship? Zane I assume you have led him into a trap correct?". Zane nooded no and said "Actually no, he says he comes for peace and has no weapons on him... except his claws".

"I do come for peace. However i would prefer it if Zane would leave. This is a more privet matter."
Nate said pulling out the three datacards and discarding the bag.

Duvnar calmly but firmly said "Zane stays, he's part of my crew and like me is incharge so if you have something to offer my crew he hears it to".

"As you wish."
Nate said placing two of the three datacards down.

"Now this one."
Nate said refering to the datacard in his hand.

"Holds the location of a weapons warehouse owned by me. A few thousand pistols and rifles aside it also holds five Nightstingers. They are yours."
Nate said.

He then picked up the second datacard.

"This little piggy holds the information to an account. In the account is 30,000,000 credits. And last but no least."
Nate said picking up the third datacard.

"This holds the documents to the Marauder. It is yours."
Nate said.


"All i ask is this, next time I see you, which i am bound to, don't try to kill me. And better yet, take this as an allince offering. You are not the type of being i want as my enemy."
Nate said.

Duvnar didn't react happily at all, infact he reacted angrly "Alright, where's your hidden fleet of assassins. I'm not buying it".

"Why would i need assassins when, as said before, I could kill you right now."
Nate said.

"Check the ship if you want. Im not a coward. I either kill myself or don't kill at all."
Nate finished.

Duvnar laughed and said "You and me are at equal strength, but I have my crew with me now also so if did try to fight us alone you would die... Now be honest on why your giving us what you are".

"You really think a sword or blaster is the only way to kill you? I did mention the Marauder is less then a mile away. It has it's weapons pointed at you now. One word from me and your dead."
Nate said moving the comlink attached to his arm to a more easy to reach spot.

"I am here to stop a pointless fight between us when, said by you, we are of equal strength. All this will do is kill or harm the ones we do care about."
Nate said.

Zane was thinking through all of this, it didn't make sense. Why give them millions of credits in an attempt for peace when he could easily bomb them? Perhaps Nate lied about what he did and didn't have under his control so he finally had to ask "Then why not just bomb us and get it over with instead of handing out a fortune?".

"For one, i make this in a month."
Nate said.

"And for two, why kill people i don't hate?"
Nate said and pushed a button on his comlink. A few seconds later a proton torpedo exploded not 100 feet from the ship.

"Now lets keep the doubt of my abilitys to the minimum."
Nate said

Duvnar thought it over and said "Then we accept the offer... We could get bombed either way so might as well get bombed with a fortune".

Bout time they grow some fucking brain cells
Nate thought to himself.

Nate threw the datacards to Duvnar and started leaving.

Nate simpily left and Zane shut the door behind him as the ship took off, they weren't waiting for some bombing.

Nate entered his R-41 heading to the Eclipse in orbit. He docked with his ship and shot into hyper.

Korto noticed the mad wookiee enter the ship What is Zane thinking?? Korto thought. He shook the thought from his head and finished eating. He then moved into the room.
"I Hheard you say your crew is welcome to listen in Duv. Does that apply to me too?"

"Yes it does, but your to slow kid. He's gone" Duvnar replied.

Zane shrugged and asked "So where do I put the 10 million credits? And are we keeping the Maruader or selling it?". Duvnar replied "Sell it, as for the credits keep it locked up".
