5. On Board the Golden Eagle

(OOC: This is a laid back RPG on Duvnar's ship. Its mean for character building of Duvnar's crew and Korto Vel. So if you join expect a more relaxed RPG, like a vacation one and not one about constant fighting. But there is sparring available).

Duvnar had landed his ship on Naboo and decided to send a message out to everyone inviting them on board so they could get to know everyone better and such since form what they've all been seeing they would be running into each other quite a bit. Duvnar called for Korto and Gwazi to arrive in the ship training room and Duvnar said to the two "Ok, today is a special day. This is because you both get to spar someone closer to your own skill levels. Gwazi try to go easy on Korto cause he's new, so today you two will face each other. Try not to mess up to badly Korto".

Zane and Ejii both sat across the room watching, Zane seemed calm and observent as if he was looking for Korto to do something while Ejii just seemed supportive of them both.

Korto finished making his calls. He still couldn't find anyone who could make contacts that would allow him to see through smoke,fog and mist with that didn't require surgery. He was thinking about what he needed to do when Duv called him into the training room.

"Ok, today is a special day. This is because you both get to spar someone closer to your own skill levels. Gwazi try to go easy on Korto cause he's new, so today you two will face each other. Try not to mess up to badly Korto".

Korto was insulted by this and started to say,
"You want me to be-" But then he quickly thought better of it and just said sure.

he walked to his edge of the mat and did a few quick stretches while Gwazi Got ready. He didn't want to hurt the kid to bad, but he wasn't going to underestimate him.

Gwazi grabbed his pistol and set it to stun, like in all sparring matches there were no weapon restrictions as long as you could refrain from killing your opponent. When Duvnar sounded for the match to start Gwazi quickly fired several shots at Korto which would stun a normal person completely ending the match there if Korto could not resist anymore than the normal person could.

Korto dropped flat to the ground as the blaster bolts flew over his head.

Oh yeah forgot about the any weapon rule. Well i couldn't have used the knife anyway, I'd have killed him.

He then quickly rolled forward and as he came out of the roll he jumped and landed behind Gwazi. He then dropped to the ground again and tried a to knock gwazi off of the ground with a ground sweep.

Korto succeded in knocking Gwazi to the ground but Gwazi had an unaturally quick reaction in getting back on his feet and shooting at Korto again only this time with two pistols. But little did Gwazi know the fall he took fractured a bone in his leg which was only getting worse during the battle.

((OOC:Didn't mean to kick him that hard!))

Korto was shocked when Gwazi was up pretty much by the time he himself had finished the move and stood. When they both stood Gwazi had two blasters pointing right in his chest(Gwazi can't be that tall).
Korto reflexively moved when he saw the guns aimed at him. As he moved he tried to grab one of the blasters. But Gwazi was too fast for him! One of the blaster bolts just barely glanced Kortos torso, completely numbing his Lats. As he finished his dodge he still tried to grab on of the blasters with one hand and knock Gwazi off balance with his other.

Gwazi was startled by Korto's move but knew a simple trick, he proceeded to begin the first step of kicking Korto's torso to loosen his grip but when he did so the leg he used made a huge snapping sound. It cause Gwazi to let go on the pistols and fall on the ground. Duvnar began shouting "Match over!". While Ejii rushed like a worried mother or sister and held Gwazi's head up as Zane examined the leg. When he pulled up the jean sleeve he saw blood gushing out and a snapped bone, he looked up at Duvnar and said "It looks like another accident, last time something like this happened was when Gwazi tried fixing the engines on his own and got his arm stuck. It shouldn't take long to treat but he'll be out of work for at least a month". Zane proceeded to bandage the wound while Ejii rubbed Gwazi on the head trying to comfort him through the pain. Gwazi however held the pain in just bitting his tounge to the point it began to bleed.

Duvnar approached Korto and said "Guess that makes you the winner, but don't expect to get that lucky every time".

Korto Vel, held on to the Blaster and felt a kick in the gut, but it had no power behind it. He then heard a loud snap come from Gwazi as he let go of the blaster. When Gwazi hit the ground Korto stood in shock for a second. Then as Ejii rushed towards Gwazi it hit him. He knelt to the floor while Zane bandage Gwazi's leg.

"It looks like another accident, last time something like this happened was when Gwazi tried fixing the engines on his own and got his arm stuck. It shouldn't take long to treat but he'll be out of work for at least a month".

Korto was worried. He didn't mean to do this to the kid! But at least he'd be okay.
Duvnar walked over and said smugly
"Guess that makes you the winner, but don't expect to get that lucky every time".
Korto stood and looked into the gands mask. He wasn't upset just a little ashamed.

" Does this happen alot? Does He have some type of weak bones or something? If so You should've told me I wouldn't have hit him that hard!"

After Duv's reply Korto said,
"Well what ever bring on the next one."

But mentally he was thinking, Sorry kid. If I had it my way I wouldn't have been fighting you anyway.

Duvnar responded to Korto when asked "Does this happen alot? Does He have some type of weak bones or something? If so You should've told me I wouldn't have hit him that hard!". Duvnar just said, Gwazi gets injuries like that once in a while from all the reckless things he does but he dosen't have weak bones, thats infact the first time he's gotten such a injury from another person. But injuries like that are part of how we learn so I hold nothing against you. Neither do Zane or Ejii but their just worried about Gwazi at the moment".[/b]

Once Korto said "Well what ever bring on the next one" Duvnar said "I like your attitude but not so fast, let's get Gwazi rested and THEN we start your next match".

"Yeah, ummm I meant that...." Korto said quickly. He had been so....hyped up he forgot that they had to get Gwazi fixed up first. He helped them take Gwazi wherever they need him to go.

They all approached to the medical room, as Duvnar and Korto entered Zane was leaving, he said "He's asleep right now, he should be awake by the morning once the pain killers ware off". Zane then left and Duvnar could see Gwazi lying in the medical bed and Ejii sitting next to him like a worried mother.

Duvnar then said "Ok, knowing Korto has no chance of beating me or Zane and since Gwazi is out of the fight that leaves you Ejii to spar with him, should we get a match going?". Ejii just looked at Duvnar and then at Christian then responded "Maybe... but not now... I don't want to leave Gwazi like this".

Duvnar nodded and turned to Korto and said "Alright, so either face me or Zane, or you just rest the the day. Your choice".

(OOC: We'll spare with Ejii soon don't worry but there's more to character development than fighting, remember you could always just train solo to prepare yourself for the next duel).

"Noooooooo!!!" Korto said very quickly. He knew he couldn't fight Zane he'd seen him in combat, and he knew he could handle Duv right now either.
"I'll just go train by my self until Ejii's ready."
Korto then walked up to Ejii and said,
"Let me know if he some how gets worse or whatever...." Then with that Korto went into the sparring room. to train.

He found a training droid and scrolled through a list of programs. He found one that seemed to be like Duvnars fighting style. He scaled the difficulty down and then activated it.

The droid drew its sword and started to attack.
I WILL NOT LOSE TO THE GAND AGAIN! I hate Gwazi had to get hurt, but I wouldn't have fought him if I didn't have to.
Korto thought this as he focused on avoiding the sword and getting some hits in.

(Fast Forward One Day)

Once Korto was done training for the day Duvnar and Zane asleep, Ejii then walked into the training room and said "I guess now it's time for that fight you wanted to have, Gwazi's ok. He's still asleep though. So you ready or what kid?".

Korto responded to Ejii, "Good he's ok. All right I'm ready....Girls first."

Korto said this not as a taunt, or in any teasing way, but in complete seriousness. He'd react after she made the first move.

Ejii grinned and said "Awww aren't you sweet" but then quickly pulled out twin pistols on stun and gunned him down and said "But your so naive at the same time, you have to be better than that". Korto could be out right there, but that was once again assuming if had enough endurance to absorb those stun blasts or not.

"Awww aren't you sweet"

Wow, I can feel the love! Korto thought sarcastically as streams of blaster bolts rained at him. He cartwheeled out of the way and then jumped in the air as if to land behind her like he did with Gwazi.
But this time he landed in front of her and tried to grab her arms.
"You sure your not angry at me about Gwazi? Those where a lot of bolts."'

He would then twist them behind her and make her drop on of the blaster. And if those last two moves worked he'd push her and turn er around and try to kick the other blaster out of her hand.

Korto succeeded in grabbing Ejii's arms and when he asked if she wasn't mad she responded "Well maybe I'm a little mad". But then she flipped Korto over her head slamming him into the wall behind her she then got out of Korto's grip and backed away from him shooting at him again.

"Well maybe I'm a little mad".
Korto felt himself being lifted over Ejii and slammed into the wall behind her.

"Sssk, yeah, that would explain the pain you are bringing." Korto said as he let himself slide off the wall. Ejii recovered quickly and start firing more shots at Korto. He was having a hard time breathing. The hit had knocked the wind out of him. He started dodging as many as he could but he couldn't keep it up long or cover the distance to get to Ejii. "Soo Ejiii *Pant* we can use *pant* any weapon?"

Ejii paused when Korto began asking his question about any weapon and she said "Well yeah, as long as it's not lethal that is". She kept focused on Korto though for the moment when the battle was no longer on pause.

"Trust me *pant* *It isn't*pant* even close!"
Korto flipped into the air. and threw five Someone bombs onto the ground. The air in the room suddenly got very thick with smoke. EVERYONE in the room was as good as blind.

Dang i wish I had got those contacts!!

But at least Korto remembered Ejiis location perfectly and she wouldn't be expecting this. He jumped high in the air and said, "Ever wonder what I do with my cut of the money?"

He then landed silently and rolled to the left, "Well this is it! And its a special solution so it won't be clearing for a while."

Then with that he tiptoed right behind Ejii and kicked her hard in the back.....if his guess was right anyway.....

Ejii was at some disadvantage with Korto's smoke bombs. She was lost in no time but Korto made the mistake of bragging about his technique allowing her to learn his location so when he went to kick her from behind he ended up hitting a training droid she had left there and once she heard the bang of him kicking the droid she unleashed more blaster fire in that direction.

Dang psyching her out didn't work.
Korto thought as he was suddenly hit in the arm by a blaster bolt. He hit the ground and rolled a little.

Dang He tried to move his arm, but that didn't work.
Dang, she got me..
He yelled, "You got me!!" And then rolled to the left. He went as quietly towards where the blaster fire came from and then position himself right behind were he hoped Ejii was. He spun and brought an elbow down to where her head should be. Hopefully knocking her out cleanly.

Korto was dead on this time, he nailed her right behind in the head and she fell. She groaned and said "Ok, I give you win this time Korto...". He then tried to get up in the smoke but not seeing her way around she tripped and fell on top of Korto and started to laugh a bit and said "This is nuts! I can't find my way in here at all!".

After the blow landed Korto heard Ejii fall to the ground. But she wasn't unconscious though.Shoot!

"Ok, I give you the win this time Korto..."
she said as she tried to get up.

Is this a trick? He thought as he stepped back quietly. He figured this fight was over though. He was then knocked over by Ejii while she was blundering around.

"This is nuts! I can't find my way in here at all!".

Korto got up and then helped her up. "Yeah, It wasn't supposed to last this long.... I may need to get someone to change the solution."

When they were both standing he added, "You got me pretty good in the arm. How long til the stun wears of?"

Once the smoke finally cleared Ejii responded "A few hours, nothing major". But then Zane just barged in with a tired look on his face with major bed head with his hair sticking up all over the place and asking "What the hell is going on!?". When Ejii turned to see Zane she just laughed at the sight of it. Zane grinned and said "Glad you think it's funny, now can someone tell me whats going on here?".
