12. Long day of the Vong.

"So I just blast em to bit's then" Duvnar said firing some turrets while Gwazi and Ejii manned others. Zane focused solely on flying.

Sark rolled his eyes.
That was Dunvar. Blow everything you see to tiny bits.
He activated the comm system.
"Understood. However, what happens if we DO crack that thing open? Like most membrane-possesing creatures I've heard of, it could close up on us if we venture inside..."

((OOC: Don;t want to god mode too much but Someone needs to go down, So I need a volunteer.))


As the metallic ships fired on the rocks most of the shots were absorbed. A few shots seemed to find a weak spot and destroyed the monsters immediately. But more of the ships had vectored off to fight the newcomers.
One ship was hit with its shields very low. The people in the ships could hear a sizzling if they were close enough to the hole. The acid seemed to be flowing through slower. In fact it didn't eat all the way through the hull. But the other rocks, noticing the weakened ship started to focus on the ship.

As the ship rocked slightly, Sark immediatly checked the ship's status on the monitors.
He had been hit in the midsection of the Freighter, and acid seemed to be eating through the hull.
Filled with panic, he furiously activated the comm device.

"I've been hit by one of the things, and there's currently acid eating through my hull. Whoever has a hanger, send me your co-ords so I can dock before I'm left with a flying wreck!"

Nate moved the Eclipse towards Sark. He turned on the tractor beam.

"Bringing you in Sark."
Nate said.

Duvnar took evaise action shooting the enemy ships when he could and said "Those of you with damaged ships board Nate's and grab a new ship from the hangar! We need every pilot we can get!".

Nate overlooked the docking bay status. No hits. He had the following ships:

JM5000 x100

Marauder x 5

Delta JV 7 x 50

Gozanti x 30

Nate also had tons of repair droids ready for work.

(Thats the pick if anyone wants.)

Successfully landing his Freighter in the docking bay of the Eclipse, Sark ripped off the survival mask and sighed in relief. There was considerable damage done to the outer and inner workings of the ship, but it would hold.
Hopefully.
Sark exited the ship and scanned the docking bay.
Quite a hefty sum of ships...

Making up his mind, Sark hopped in a JM5000 and shot out of the hanger.

Sark went out in a JM5000.

"Sark, I am sending repair droids to repair you ship. We have an ETA of twenty minutes before the hull is replaced. Then 40 minutes to get everything working."
Nate said.

Noticing that everybody wasn't really doing anything, Sark picked up the comms device.
"All right. I'll be the only brave one here. I'm going to assume that this fellow's ship is inside of that large cave, so I'm going in there."
He diverted all weapon power to the engines and the tiny craft burst forward.

"Abort!"
Nate ordered Sark.

"I will send a scouting craft then a Marauder to destroy it!"
Nate ordered Sark as he flipped the Shut Off switch to the JM5000. If Sark went on he would be shut down and picked up by the closest ship.

Reluctantly, Sark brought the ship to a halt. Restoring power to regular functions, he turned around and shot back to the Star Destroyer.
"Well if you're going to send them, when will they leave? For all we know, he could be dead."

"Thento, begin scout."
Nate said and Thento's flagship sped towards the cave.

"Marauder 1 and 2, prepare."
Nate said.

"Is there anything new on there? Something that would help us?" Argus said, looking at Brucs for some hope

"Nope, its just organic, its hardly coming up as a ship. I think if we got a closer look at we could get a better idea of what it is and how we could get in."

"Alright, pull up along side it and be quick before the know what we are up to." The ship accelerated to max speed toward the giant rocks.

((OOC:Don't feel like reading whats going on so I'll just do generic posts))


Korto vel and co are still knocked out and are currently unaware of their surroundings.

For those who fight the rocks you get an up close view of one of the cockpits and see what you think is persons piloting it.

For those going close to the asteroid, depending on speed ad ECM they are either detected and fired on by super strong cannons. If you remain undetected your fine.

If anyone is trying to board the asteroid are fired on by the mega cannons immediately. If you made it pass them then once you land your ship suddenly no longer works as a tentacle wraps around it from the bottom.

Thento went onto the comlink in a helpless voice.
"Nate! I'm going down! Something has us gripped and won't let us go. Our docking bays are fried. I repeat, we are going down!''
He yelled.


"All ships abort! All ships abort! Delta squad get the hell in there and get Thento out! Hunter squad! Take out whatever has the ship! Sword squad! Lay support to them! Move!!!"
Nate ordered all the squads available.

"Squad Delta reporting sir! We are taking heavy fire from som....."

"Duvnar! Can you get in there and assist? We are taking heavy fire."
Nate hailed to Duv.

Duvnar was already firing on the enemy shooting at Nate's men and replied "You're a bit to slow".

"Not the ships the god damn cannons!"
Nate yelled as Thento's ship broke in half.

"Thento!"
Nate yelled as the Eclipse went a bit too close to the cannons.

Everest started whining as she noticed something was wrong.

"What just happened?"
Nate asked starting to shake.

"We lost all docking bays and most of the ship."
A droid said, it's own lifeless voice hinting the smallest bit of fear.

"We are going down then."
Nate said.

In his life, Nate had never been in a crash with a ship as large as the remaining Eclipse. It would be tricky. And with no escape pods working there was no other choices. It was almost certain death.

"Prepare for Death 3 landing."
Nate said. All the droids in the room shut down.

"Ok. Now lets see ho.............."
Nate was cut short as the cannon hit them again.

The command bridge was blasted off the ship it having the only remaining shields. However the blast windows were destroyed and everything was being sucked into space. Nate himself had not managed to be as lucky as Everest and be able to wedge himself between something.

Instead Nate was sucked into deepspace with no protection. He had seconds left.

Duvnar was quick to turn his ship around and start firing at the cannon's knowing it was probably to late for Nate.

(Did you just kill Nate?)

((Not sure yet. I know Thento is dead. I figured i could do some huge player change and make Nate go down a whole nother path. Of and BTW, SAVE EVEREST!!!!!!!!!!! It will be important for my new path.))

Seeing the explosion of the command bridge, Sark immediatly turned the JM5000 around and shot towards the docking bays.
Practically crashing the ship into the hanger, Sark leaped from the fighter and boarded his Deepwater. The repairs were about 76% done, but he really wasn't in the mood for perfection.

The freighter rocketted out of the hanger and headed towards what was the command bridge.
Spotting the limp wookie, Sark was about to send out a recovery droid when the scanners reported the hairy figure as dead.
He was about to head off, when he noticed the Wookie's dog struggling in the command bridge.

Sending the recovery droid off, Sark soon had the animal in the cockpit with him.
