9. Naboo's Independence

(OOC: This is a character building RP for mine and Cared's characters, other could joinm but not like our characters are. You could come represnting other planets or be hired Mercs for a planet other than Naboo for protection)

The Queen of Naboo has started a movement to free them from control of the Empire and New Republic. She had sent out a call to the Tykuper family requesting Cared one of her most loyal followers and biggest supporter for independence join her on a secret meeting to discuss how they will get their independence, she also called Duvnar Magnum and his crew for protection and cause Zane was once a skilled and intelligent senator of Naboo.
Both families were invited to board the Queen personal shuttle to the meeting location.

Zane Gural approached the ship with Ejii, Duvnar and Gwazi following him. Duvnar shrugged and said "Hmmm, seems a bit to fancy for my taste, why are even here Zane?". Zane responded "Cause the job pays...." to which Ejii followed "Duv! This place is beutifal and we have a great chance to help our home, why not help?". Duvnar shrugged and responded "Because I don't give a shit...". Gwazi then added in the conversation "It will be nice to get off Naboo for a bit".

(Cared your family can meet mine right outside the ship here while their boarding)

"One of your relatives contacted me today." Caredetru spoke across the dinner table to his wife.
"Tell me that Hlaanu isn't trying to strike up a deal again. I mean, every time he talks to me it's always 'Caredetru is the perfect man for this job that I have, oh, his ship has enough hiding space to take a few pounds of..."
Caredetru split Tressa's sentence. "Think a bit more... distant."
"So it was Iricine? I swear! I tell her that she needs treatment once, and she won't ever let go. 'You think I need treatment, what about you ms. soldier woman? You all go crazy out there in the field and put it off as..."
"Not Iricine."
Tressa looked now upon him with confusion. Thinking, she at length inquired: "Who else would contact you and not me?"
"Ga'ali."
Tressa laid down her eating utensils harshly. With anger, she tersely asked: "Why?"
"It is not like that, Tressa." Caredetru said, an attempt to calm the woman. "She tells me that she understands the situation now. She is asking me to protect her. There is a meeting on Kamino that she is to attend."
"That's not all that she wants from you, Caredetru. Next thing that you know, she'll be telling you that the ship only has one bedroom!"
"It is not like that, Tressa. I swear, she has told me the entire situation. I am only there as a guard. And if she needs me on top of the soldiers that she already has to escort her, then I have to at least worry about the mission."
"No. I don't want you to go with this."
"Tressa, she is queen. What she says is law. She says that she wants my sword on her ship, then I must be there."
"Then I will go too."
"That is not a good idea, Tressa."
"I am not going to allow her to be alone with you."
"Do you not trust me enough?"
"I trust you with my life, Caredetru. You know that. It's her. I don't care what people say about her, she is not mature enough to handle even her own personal life. Or did you not see the way that she looked the last time that you told her no?"
"I don't think that it is safe."
"I'm going to be there, Caredetru, with your permission," She spat the word scornfully, "or not. Irith," Finally the girl was addressed, "You are going to have to watch Kimi and Servil for a few days."
"What?" Irith shouted, angered now. "I have been stuck with them for ever and a day! Either let me go with you or in place of you."
"Oh force no." Caredetru spoke up now.
"Why not? I can shoot!"
"You can also get shot. You will not come on this trip." Caredetru's verdict was now passed, but quickly it was brought into question.
"That isn't fair!" The girl shouted.
"She has been trapped inside for a very long time, Caredetru."
"How could you say that, Tressa? She's a child, and she will not come on this mission."
"You will be surrounded by a hundred guard ships for sure, and it's not like the queen is a huge target for anyone. I think that she needs to interact with people from different cultures, and see some different locales, too."
"Tressa, that is absolutely absurd."
With a grin upon her face, Irith evoked that ultimate annoyance to Caredetru. Household democracy: "It is two against one, Caredetru. Thank you, Tressa."
"This comes with conditions, Irith. You don't leave Caredetru's side for a second. You make sure to constantly remind the queen that Caredetru is a married man, and you take the biggest gun we have in the closet."

And so, Caredetru was defeated. His daughter would be accompanying him to Kamino, and Tressa would keep watch of his sons.

The wind gusted across the open port. It blew through the hair of Caredetru, but did not disturb it much, as it was tied back subtly and respectfully. As was his entire outfit. His vest and pants were pressed neatly, and all of his attire was quite fit to address someone like the queen. His rapier was sheathed at his side, and the hilt was strung with small flares in the form of two bright jewels flowing in the wind tied to silken thread. Upon his right hand was not only a glove, but a wedding ring. That detail was surely not missed by Tressa.

Beside him, clothed equally as respectfully - save the carbine blaster hung from her shoulders - marched a jubilant Irith.

Across the platform, near to the queen's ship stood some familiar figures. Not ones he could say were expected, though. As he approached the group, he called out: "Duvnar! Zane! Gwazi! I thought that this was a closed dock. Who let you vagabonds in?"

Duvnar smugly replied to Caredetru's question "The Queen". Zane handed Cared a datapad and said "I use to be a diplomat and guard for the queen and requested that I join her on the mission, but I told her I would only come if the others came with me".

Ejii then added in happily "So you all are coming to, thats nice!". Gwazi just shurgged and said "Whatever, as long as I get to shoot something".

"Gwazi, you are much too brash. The hope is that no shots will be fired." Caredetru condescended. He took the datapad that was given. His fingers scrolled around upon it's surface. A look of frustrated confusion crossed his countenance. Ceasing to look upon the device, he spoke out to the entire group. "It says that we will have only four small escort fighters. Did any of you know about this?"

The loading bay doors of the sleek J-Type barge clattered down upon the dock. From the depths of the ship a stout, tanned man in general Naboo security force uniform beckoned them inside. Without an answer to his question, he made haste to greet his sovereign.

To a single knee he dropped when he reached her sight. Quickly she ordered him to forgo the formal bow, and rise to his feet. She greeted him as a friend and not a subject as he did so, saying in her trained voice:
"Caredetru, it is very good to see you again. You haven't an idea of how many forms and hours it took to get you, an imperial blacklisted smuggler on board this ship."
Approaching sternly, he replied: "I am glad to see you, Ga'ali, you must believe me, but I have a great concern. I have seen here that this ship is to be escorted by a force of only four N-1's. That is absolutely unacceptable, ma'am. And this barge is even more so! We need a ship with guns. No matter how fast this barge can fly, the empire has fighters that are faster, with lasers more than heavy enough to break our shields."
A smile broke the queen's calm face. "These measures would draw so much attention, Caredetru. Calm down! No one on Naboo or anywhere else has any idea that I am on this ship. All that the news says is that an old senator and some of his good friends are to visit with several business interests on Kamino."

At this point Irith, bewildered by the luxury of the ship stumbled in upon the bridge chamber. As soon as she laid eyes upon the queen in all of her extravagant dressings, Irith dropped to her knee just as Caredetru had done. After all, he had spent the last week teaching her how to act and speak respectfully to someone of such high calibre.
"And you have brought family. How well that will add to the guise. Irith, was it?"
"Yes, ma'am." Caredetru answered.
"Irith, you may rise."

Ejii and Zane bowed at sight of the Queen but Duvnar only shrugged, he saw Ejii saying "Gwazi, get down. Show some respect" to which Duvnar replied "Leave him alone Ejii". Gwazi just stood looking bored and once the Queen spoke with the Tykupers Duvnar said "And then what if you are attacked, most likely do to a spy in your trusted ranks? You would die and Naboo would have a bloody riot".
