Details if you dare to read: I was aged thirteen, and it was on the farm my dad worked on. Another chum who worked for the same farmer was on the top of a bail stack, dad was hauling the bails (this was when we didn't have great big round bailers) onto a conveyor belt at the bottom. Both had pitch forks in hand (That is ones with two prongs). The chum slipped off the stake of bails, somehow ended up with the pitch fork through his leg and hip! He, I might add servived to return to work ten months later.
